Use a consistent sequence: establish context on a longer interval, inspect the setup on your working chart, and check the order before sending it. Repeatedly changing timeframes to justify a position can obscure the original plan.

Confirm that the account was created for MT5. MT4 credentials do not turn an MT4 account into an MT5 account.
Match the server
Copy the trading account number and exact server from the portal. Demo and live servers are different destinations.
Verify the environment
Check the connection, account mode and symbols before creating an order. Practise the ticket on demo first.

The desktop platform offers 21 predefined chart timeframes.
Can I use an MT4 account in MT5?
Use an account created for the correct platform and its assigned server. MT4 and MT5 accounts are not interchangeable.
Does MT5 guarantee lower spreads?
No. The account, instrument and market conditions determine pricing; the platform alone does not.
Can desktop EAs run in the mobile app?
No. Desktop automation requires a compatible desktop environment or hosting.
