EC Markets / Demo account / Field guide

EC Markets demo. Learn the mechanics first.

Set up a practice account, understand the credentials and turn virtual trading into a structured learning exercise.

From client portal to practice account.

EC Marketsʼ walkthrough describes $10,000 in virtual funds. The terminal account is separate from the portal profile. Keep both sets of credentials organised.

Access the client portal

Create a broker profile or sign in to an existing one.

Open Demo Accounts

In Accounts, choose Demo Accounts, then Add Account.

Select your environment

Choose the account and platform options available in your region, then set a trading password.

Connect and practise

Use the assigned account number and server. Check the virtual balance and start with a small simulated order.

Place and modify a small order

Close it and review the history

Record the reason for the order, intended exit and result. Review whether you followed the plan before judging profit or loss. A short record of consistent decisions is more informative than one unusually good simulated trade.

Practise interruptions too: reconnect, reopen the terminal and verify the account. Locate pending orders, positions and history. Familiarity reduces operational confusion, not market risk.
