Compare STD, ECN and PRO by deposit, spreads, commission and margin levels — then calculate an illustrative trading cost.

Three accounts. Different cost structures.

STD, ECN and PRO differ in entry requirements and how costs are charged. A minimum spread is a starting value, not a promise that every order trades at that spread. Review the actual symbol and execution conditions.

STD: spread-based pricing

Compare actual spreads on your instruments and any overnight financing.

ECN: spread plus commission

Add round-trip commission before comparing a narrower spread with another account.

PRO: higher entry requirement

The published minimum is $5,000. A higher threshold does not make an account suitable for everyone.

Margin levels deserve their own line.

50%Published margin call level
30%Published stop-out level

Margin level is equity divided by used margin, multiplied by 100. Falling equity can bring an account closer to forced liquidation. High leverage reduces required margin for a given exposure; it does not reduce that exposureʼs profit-and-loss movement.
